Omnia Develops Lotus Notes to
Exchange Pre-migration tool kit -
Several of our clients wanted to migrate from
Lotus Notes mail to Exchange. However due to the large
number of Notes applications requiring a Notes mail database
to function, they were "stuck". They knew from
experience that when a user migrated their mail from Notes to
Exchange, some Notes applications just stopped working for
them. Thus they could not safely move off
Lotus Notes mail until they found and removed
the Notes applications' dependencies on the Notes mail
system.
In response to this recurring need, Omnia has
created an analysis tool and process that analyzes entire
Lotus Notes environments and documents Lotus Notes code known
to be non-Exchange compliant. The analysis tool clearly
documents the type and pinpoint location of the
problematic code and automatically generates a project
tracking application to manage the remediation
process
